Yeah. My head is filled with stuff. And fluff. And stuff filled with fluff. Fiber-filled fluff. The fluff that is stuffed to the brim in my drop cloth design co. pillows …
… the very same Etsy shop that will be filled with my fiber-filled stuffed drop cloth pillow designs.
Because I spent the last half hour adding a shop header and profile and listing my first item for sale …
*poof *
… my hard work vanished.
Does anyone have Al Gore’s number or email address? I mean, he did invent the Internet after all, right?
Perhaps he could tell me where to go to recover my Etsy shop header and listing?
* sigh *
So instead of giving you the link to the Etsy, I’ll give you a tutorial on how I made the very first product that will be featured at the Etsy.
But first I’ll invite you to share your favorite pillow talk at my pillow fight pillowpalooza link party next week …
The party is co-hosted by some of my bloggy buds: Thistlewood Farms and The Cottage Market …
… because, like the Pom pillow I’ll be offering on Etsy, Kari and Andrea and I cheer each other on.
Now this party is open to all bloggers. But I’m also opening this party up to Etsy shops. Etsy shops that stock pillows, that is. And if you’re and Etsy shop without a blog and have never done the link party thing, click here for a tutorial on how to link up …
I started with my thrifty pillow form to determine the length and width of fabric needed and snipped …
…then pinned and stitched again.
Then I transferred the monogrammed letter (see how I made mirror image text using Microsoft Word here) …
I followed the package instructions and ironed on …
… under the supervision of Ernie the Beagle …
… he’s not looking too pleased with me …
[A side note: I used iron-on transfer paper made for laser printers on my inkjet printer. It was a mistake I made months ago … but I much prefer the end result. The transfer comes out grainy … which I like … and doesn’t leave behind that annoying film outline … which I like even more.]
The finishing touch: hand sewed on the rosettes I made here …
One “b” down. One “a” to make …
Oh, and that particular “b” pillow now lives in Montana …
P.S. My Etsy is now up. Click here to find out more and enter a giveaway to win your very own customized monogrammed pillow …

Linda,
Can you believe I just made my FIRST pillow last Friday? I totally want to do the transfer paper stuff. Seems much easier than some of the other ways to get lettering on fabric. I’m all about the easy button 😉
I just gave you a like on facebook 😉
Have a great Wednesday!
